A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Search terms are not stored or logged by us.

An email is retained as needed to prepare and deliver a response. Messages remain internal unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Loading a page causes servers to receive routine technical details about the visit:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of personal criminal-record information is maintained, compiled, or sold here. The material identifies how to reach Telfair County custodians, including the sheriff, criminal courts, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is never assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record, and this operation is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted through those tools. Review the applicable partner policy before running a query because those practices are outside our control.

Additional rights may arise under applicable Georgia law. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 77, governs public-agency records, while O.C.G.A. §§ 35-3-34 and 35-3-35 regulate dissemination of Georgia criminal-history information. Those laws do not make this private service a government custodian. At a minimum, a visitor may:
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for access to stored personal data
- Seek deletion of personal data
- Opt out of certain processing where applicable
